Position:                DISABILITIES CONSULTANT

Job Summary: Under general direction, develop and implement disabilities work plan using the Head Start Performance Standards as guidance and assure compliance with Disabilities regulations. General responsibilities include: identify children who may have a disability and assure appropriate early intervention services through coordination with local education agencies (LEA) and other external mental health, speech/language professionals; provide support and expert consultation to staff and other management personnel; assist with staff instruction and facilitate ongoing staff training to promote quality classroom experience; assist in the planning and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP); ensure developmental screening and assessments are completed timely, up-to-date and monitored, according to established policies and procedures which include tracking;  educate families on how to secure and individualize needed services for children with disabilities or suspected disabilities; complete reports; attend/participate in program related training and workshops; perform other related duties as assigned/required

RequirementsMust have minimum four-year degree in Special Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, with Intervention Specialist Certificate and two (2) years demonstrated experience working with young children with special needs; strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; possession of a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and reliable transportation (frequent local and some out-of-county travel required); computer literacy; Summit County residency; fingerprint and background checks conducted

Pay Rate: $38,792.00 - $45,000 Annualized / (Pay Grade 26)

Positions:                CAREGIVER TEACHER (Infants/Toddlers)

Job Summary: In accordance with established program standards, state and federal regulations, as applicable, provide care and supervision for infants and toddlers (6 weeks – 36 months) enrolled in the Early Head Start program and maintain a safe, healthy and compliant environment for care and development. Overall responsibilities include: care for children based on immediate need; prepare and implement curriculum and age-appropriate developmental experiences; supervise children in the classroom and during other developmentally appropriate activities; write individual education plans, as applicable; conduct age-appropriate developmental screenings; conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits; promote parent involvement in the classroom and/or center through implementation of center activities and parent meetings; track and report parent volunteer hours; conduct inventory of classroom equipment and supplies; maintain current record-keeping compliant with program procedures; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform other related duties as required

Job Summary: Under general direction, coordinate, implement, and monitor nutrition services component of the Head Start/Early Head Start Program for children 6 weeks to age 5. Responsibilities include: Develop age-appropriate menus and nutrition plans; coordinate and ensure food orders and deliveries from food service vendors; distribute and collect center food orders; track kitchen equipment and other inventory; prepares purchase orders for food vendors billing; prepare documentation for USDA claims and reimbursement; complete annual USDA application and budget; monitor and evaluate nutrition program delivery for grantee and delegate programs to ensure compliance; develop and/or update nutrition component plan and procedure manual; conduct nutrition training for parents, cooking staff and other staff as needed. Perform other duties as required

RequirementsMust hold Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics with at least three (3) years work experience in institutional food management; must hold Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD) designation issued by Ohio Board of Dietetics (State of Ohio) and American Dietetic Association; ServSafe Certification a plus; Summit County residency.
